Dalkeith with one last roll of the dice to try and get to the top 6 on the ladder come the conclusion of Round 18. They pretty much need to get all 8 points and hope other results go their way. The chances of this look pretty slim to me but I am sure that they will give this a good shake. Kardinya very solid all season and they well and truly deserve 2nd place on the ladder and promotion to One White next season. Whilst they don’t have a lot to play for this week I am pretty sure that they will be keen to finish off the season well and this should be a pretty close affair. In the end I think Dalkeith can take this in a close one.

South Perth guaranteed promotion to One White take on Rossmoyne to finish out the season. Rossmoyne also safe in the top 6 after a very good 2nd half of the season. Despite not a lot to play for I expect a pretty solid contest to finish the season. The South Perth side containing some household names in the Perth bowls scene look very solid on paper and they will go in as solid favourites at home. But I do know that Rossmoyne supremo Mayor Lang loves a bit of disruption and he will be keen to finish the season off well. Another close contest but South Perth too strong in the end.

Another match with probably not a lot to play for but I am sure both teams will be keen to finish out the season with a win. Gosnells heading to Division 2 but at home they are always competitive and they will give themselves a real chance in this one. Rockingham somewhat enigmatic throughout the season but on paper they have a strong side. I am predicting another close match but expect that provided the Rockingham team bus arrives on time they should carry too many guns.

A very important game for Safety Bay who face the prospect of dropping out of the top 6 should they lose this one and other results go against them. They will certainly be hoping that Armadale will have started Mad Monday early as the Safety Bay record away from home has been somewhat average during the season. They will also be hoping that Cockburn play out of their skin in their fixture against Willetton and help them survive in the top 6. Despite all the permutations Armadale have been too good for all and sundry throughout the season and there is no reason to expect that this will not continue in this fixture.
Armadale 7-1

This fixture presents Willetton with a great opportunity to finish the season in the top 6 and avoid the prospect of a challenge fixture the following week. They will go in as warm favourites as Cockburn’s form has been pretty poor over recent weeks. Importantly the Willetton side has been picking up in recent matches and they are always very hard to beat at home. I think Willetton will come out firing in this one and put this to bed pretty quickly.
